Venus Torabi

Venus Torabi is a Ph.D. Candidate in “Interdisciplinary Humanities” in Canada. Her areas of expertise are a nexus of terrorism studies and multimodality of modified videogames used as tools of recruitment and propaganda by extremists and terrorists.

Torabi’s background is in English literature, semiotics of literary adaptation/comparative studies, and the analysis of implied discourses in visual expressions.

Venus Torabi is the author of P.S. OperaTOR (2021) the first fictional piece (novel) ever written on the tragedy of the PS752 Ukrainian flight shooting down in Jan 2020.
