Kaveh Shahrooz

Kaveh Shahrooz is a lawyer, a human rights activist, and a Senior Fellow at the Macdonald-Laurier Institute Centre for Advancing Canada's Interests Abroad. He is a former Senior Policy Advisor on human rights to Global Affairs Canada. A graduate of the University of Toronto and Harvard Law School, he led a successful campaign for Canada's parliament to recognize the 1988 massacre of political prisoners in Iran as constituting crimes against humanity. His writing has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The Globe & Mail, and the National Post.
